The Tinker Hatfield-created original colorway of the first Air Jordan model is brought back in the 2022 release of the Air Jordan 3 "Fire Red." The shoe features a white leather upper with dark grey elephant-print overlays at the forefoot and heel. It was first introduced in 1988. Contrasting red details are found on the polyurethane midsole with a visible Air-sole unit tucked in the heel, the molded eyelets, the perforated leather collar, and the leather upper. The Jumpman emblem is stitched on the tongue, and "Nike Air" is imprinted on the heel, both in complementary shades of Fire Red.
